2 digital pencils... perhaps too cool.

Meet Pencil: The Best iPad Stylus Yet, From the Makers of 'Paper' | Wired Design | Wired.com

Adobe Is Making This Fancy Digital Pen a Reality | Wired Design | Wired.com

The first video gives me a headache: how much can you push the idea of following the tip of the pencil with the camera? :(
Then ipads should have had a stylus from the very first version, otherwise what's the point of a hi-res tablet? (as a design colleague of mine says!)

The second video shows a lot of problems with the new digital pen: there is clearly a large delay between the guy writing, and the tablet actually drawing. And he talks of how natural it is to use the "digital ruler", but he clearly avoids to touch the surface of the tablet while using it... how natural can that be, when using a ruler, not be able to touch the drawing surface? Perhaps it is not like that, but the video shows the guy's hand in a rather unnatural position when handling the ruler... bha, so much for "natural" :(

Perhaps this [anoto] remains the best idea in this field:
