Everybody is talking more and more about renewable energy, and windmills seems to be the way of the future...
Well tell that to the Dutch people: they have been using windmills for centuries to salvage their land and process wood to build ships. So much for "the future" :p
What about something a bit more "kick-ass", like, say, NUCLEAR FUSION! Hua ua uaaa! :D
I'd rather have a thermo-nuclear fusion plant nearby than a bunch of windmills... also because there must be a limit to how much you can harvest from the wind, before running out of land...
Some pointers:
- Thermonuclear fusion
- Status report on fusion research
- some partially accessible articles here
- Nuclear fusion
- even google is really lame on this topic!
Who is researching on FUSION?
How is it going, guys?
Cold fusion or bubble fusion, I don't mind... but wouldn't it be good to have some serious alternatives? :D
