Take a look at this: here
and some examples here and here.

I've ported the Processing visualization language to JavaScript, using the Canvas element.
I've been working on this project, off-and-on now, for the past 7 months - it's been a fun, and quite rewarding, challenge.
''
And the result is really cool!
Check this one out too! Most of this stuff is made with the processing language, the same that is now ported also in js :D
Thanks: I already was a fan of CANVAS, but this proves how useful it can be.
To me any person on the planet should know how to use a scripting language, a bit of html and canvas, to draw. It probably takes no more than 5 days to get the hang of these things, but then you can:
- write your own documents (and place them online),
- program a bit, and calculate/visualize some stuff with short scripted programs
- even try to code some simple games (like these)
(perhaps I should write a tutorial about this stuff and post it... as soon as I have a bit of time, I will ;D )

Follow-up: more discussion and more resources about processing.js here (for example it points to this super website, that provides a firefox plugin for processing.js!)
