Il tenente Colombo e' in effetti italiano!

In an episode of Columbo, last week, he was speaking in Italian, much to my
surprise!

Then I discovered that the character Columbo is actually supposed to be
an Italian, even if some of his features are taken from the general "hispanic" stereotype in the american culture.

Now I can understand why in Italy they changed the name into "Colombo" and
italianized the character :)
